I don't think I am as brave as the exchange students are, but you and dad did manage to give me self confidence that has served me well.

Bon-whoops, I remeber curling with Jaakko and talking to him about Denmark, so it must have stuck in my brain that way. Thank you. Its true that the exchange student program is awsome for all the reasons that you said. However, from my experience, the host families make or break the success of the exchange and its due to families and people like you who make it so rich. I know that Mary must love it there. I am blessed with amazing host families too. You are a real inspiration for me as well.
-Its funny now that I look back at that quote because even knowing that I can be whoever I want to be and that no one has any expectations, I am still the same girl as I was in Canada, but now just more sure that thats really who I am no matter where in the world.
PS Jaakko was finnish ;)Bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02495468130632640636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9383038.post-1133742264059591622005-12-04T16:24:00.000-08:002005-12-04T16:24:00.000-08:00You admire them because you approach your life wit...You admire them because you approach your life with the same "both feet" zeal. You will teach your children more by your example than you ever will with words. As I see it you and Shannon are both teaching your children to help others, be open to new ideas and experiences, and to have confidence in themselves, to be responsible for their own actions. That's what my parents taught me by example and words, and what your father and I tried to teach you. I think we were successful. I don't know many parents, except for the parents of your spouses, who can be as proud of their children as we are of you. And I am certain that both of you will raise wonderful kids that grow into terrific adults. If you want to see someone as great as those exchange student, go look in the mirror.Wudashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17159544800990501446noreply@blogger.com
