Old Pictures

I have been trying to post these pictures for you for a month now. Well I am hoping I finally have some success. These are from camping out at Kamloops Lake with the Linfield family on August long weekend. They are over a month old, but better late than never.

Finally a picture of the trailer for you:

It works just great for us, we have a place to sleep off the ground, a toilet, fridge and stove. It's the Ritz!

Here are the boys climbing their first tree:

Here are the boys having their first beer of the morning. They are coffee mugs but they are filled with Guinness and Cider. Yummy.

Sebass, hamming it up for the camera

This is a pretty little cove on the lake that Filet took us to by boat, it was such a pretty spot we stayed for a swim.

And one more view of the lake:

You Pick

I came home from work to an empty house yesterday. It was both weird and wonderful. I had a nice quiet evening , you pick the best part:

1. I painted the kitchen and no one was around to stick their fingers in the paint or to point out the 'missed spots' or to offer 'help'.

2. I have paint pants that I wear for all my painting chores, I have no paint shirt so I painted the kitchen in my paint pants and a bra, no one came in a said hubba hubba, no one grabbed my ass while I was standing on the counter with my arms above my head painting a corner I could barely reach, a wet paint brush in my hand.

3. My loving husband stocked the fridge with Guinness before he left and I had my favorite beer to drink while I worked.

4. The colour I painted the kitchen: BEHR Disney, Mouse Ears. Oh yeah baby my kitchen is the same colour as Mickey's ears and it looks great.

Viva Las Vegas

Still can't post pictures, but I can tell you what I have been up too. Paul and the kids are getting ready to vacation in Las Vegas, I have been busy getting the kids ready to go.

I am staying here to hold down the fort, someone has to work! I am torn between missing everyone already and being thrilled to have some time to myself. I can't even remember the last time I had more than an afternoon to myself. I think I might go crazy!

I have the kitchen ready to paint so I plan to get that done. I will be working full time at the office and I hope to get in a few good runs and maybe even some knitting.

I will take the chance to meet with out accountant and finish the year end for the office. And if that doesn't sound like enough a friend of mine and I are getting a new business off the ground.

We will be taking over the run clinics that Runner's Sole has been doing and we are planning to bump it up a notch and do our best to make it even better. Kamloops Running Workshops (KReW). We start our clinics in September so we have a bit of work to do this next week.

I think all that ought to keep me of trouble. What do you think?

I have emailed blogger in an effort to get my pictures up and running, I am thinking maybe it is time to switch to a different blog service if this does not get better.

How is that for a random non-picture post?

Trying

I am trying to be a better blogger, but I am not having any luck.

I have tried posting pictures 3 different times today and they don't show up on the post but blogger says it is done and the pictures are posted. Bleh! I have so many good photos to show to you.

Since I can't seem to get pictures to post I will steal one of APL's tricks so go check out http://www.Meez.com and make yourself a meez to put anywhere you like.

Heroin and STD's

When you don't blog for as long as I have you need a catchy title to suck everyone back in.

Now that I have your attention I tried spinning last night. You all knew it was just a matter of time before I got my hands on a wheel. I met a spinner at Art in the Park last month and I asked her a bunch of questions about spinning and about wheels and what not. The long and the short of it is she invited me to the monthly gathering of spinners here in the Loops.

Annette was so thoughtful, she came by and picked me up for the meeting. She brought an extra wheel and some roving so that I could give it a try. There were only 5 women there including myself, it was a perfect size gathering to learn in.

Here is my first spindle:

It's not pretty but I am totally happy with it. I went expecting a very steep learning curve and brought my knitting along in case I just got to frustrated to get it. Due to my incredibly low expectations I was thrilled with what I managed to produce and how much a learned in only a couple of hours.

Where does the heroin come in...I NEED a wheel, right now. I can't wait to try it again. I am going to try and be patient and try as many wheels as I can before making the plunge. But I NEED a wheel right now, how else will I get better????

My second spindle: (blurry photo)

When I got home Sherri (baby sitter) and I watched Wednesday night's episode of Rock Star Supernova I am addicted to this show. We were wondering how old Tommy Lee is so I googled him and found that there link that you just clicked on. It makes for some interesting reading including some speculation about the size of Tommy's junk. This made me a bit curious and I googled a bit trying to find out, ahh, more information (yeah, that's it). While surfing for nude photos of Tommy Lee a pop up menu (no pun intended) comes up on my laptop. It was a viral warning.

My laptop contracted a STD while surfing for nude photos of Tommy. No need to worry the virus has been quarantined and my laptop is properly gloved up for this post. It's not contagious...Honest.

Blogger Blues

I tried to post these pictures for you yesterday, but blogger would not let me upload them. I get frustrated with Blogger occasionally and it makes me think of moving my blog to a different server, but Blogger is in my price range so I really can't complain.

Here are some pretty sky pictures for you. I took this one last week sometime while I was sitting on the back deck, pretty isn't it?

One of the things I love about the Loops is the dramatic weather changes. You can wake up to 40C one morning and by midafternoon you will be enjoying one of mother natures light shows to the music of thunder. This weekend we cooled off quite a bit with some rain. Here is our messy backyard with the rain pouring down.

Here is a picture over the fence into the neighbors yard, I am not a peeping tom, I just thought the water pouring off their sun roof was pretty and a good way for you to see how fast it was coming down.

Today was just right, mix of sun and clouds and a little breeze to keep you cool. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
