Quote of the Week

This weeks quote is brought to you a day late because I was I was sucked into a good book yesterday and I just could not put it down and make it to the computer. I know you all understand.

This weeks quote is brought to you by PJ:

"Mom, girls are better than boys, aren't they?"

I thought of so many answers for her:

"PJ, it is so astute of you to realize this so early in life."
"Of course they are!"
"Do you really need to ask?"
"Duh"

But of course I said none of those things, or the 10 others that came to mind. I told her, "No honey, girls are not any better than boys nor are boys better than girls, we are just different."

APL: Turkey is the main course for a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving, but then it's served with things like cabbage rolls, brussel sprouts are a very common side dish as well, these two are not 'traditional' dishes to me, but seem to be around here.

Mom, what a great idea, I think it would be great if you could come and join us in Las Vegas like Judy and George made the trip to your house last year. I am not sure if we are able to change the tickets yet, Paul is still looking into that. Maybe Dad would be interested in coming too.

"Turkey for me
Turkey for you
Let's eat the turkey
in my big brown shoe
Love to eat the turkey
At the table
I once saw a movie
With Betty Grable
Eat that turkey
All night long
Fifty million Elvis fans
Can't be wrong
Turkey turkey doo and
Turkey turkeydap
I eat that turkey Then I take a nap."
It wouldn't be any Thanksgiving without me singing the turkey song after all.

I had no idea there was a turkey song. Will just informed me that it's an Adam Sandler song.

The Turkey Song!!! Now it feels like Thanksgiving. I wonder if I can download a copy of it? Thank you APL (should we chane that to APO? Angie Party O' One? I don't think so, I doubt that you will be APO for long, for APL, you will always be.

Kudos to Will for knowing it was an Adam Sandler diddy. We used to sing the Turkey Song ALL DAY at McGee's when they made us work every year on Thanksgiving even though there were no customers.
Kelly Anne, APL is much better!

Kelly, my mother is already bugging me about the holidays. I don't think Dad will be able to travel much more and I don't feel right about leaving them alone at the holidays. My sisters don't seem to care about that. So if we can all get together it will have to be another time of year.

We are taking some time in August to go to Montana to a Homonica Festival. I don't have it mapped out yet and it may be dependant on other things. If I wind up with a job there will probably be no vacations at all.
