Quote of the Week

I am trying my best to get back into the swing of things. I did not forget about the quote of the week, there was just nothing that really made me laugh, until yesterday.

Yesterday was Sebastian's 5th Birthday. He had so many wonderful things to day that I have two quotes for you courtesy of Sebass:

"Mom, now that I am 5 I am in kindergarten aren't I?"

Try to explain the whole school year thing to a 5 year old that thinks he should be done with pre-school now that he is 5. He had me laughing all day. I did not realize how much he was looking forward to being 5.

"Mom, now that I am 5 how many numbers are you? Are you like, 15???!?! That is so many!!"

I wonder if he can even wrap his mind around the fact that his poor old mother is 35.

I am sorry to be pictureless for this post but I had to send my camera into the shop. The back light on the LCD display has died. Apparently it is an easy fix, but the closest electronics place that works on a Canon digital camera is in Vancouver. I asked them to rush the work if they can so I can have the camera back before we go to Jamaica.

I would love to share with you pictures of Sebastian's gifts, but there aren't any. His favorite was from Grandma Elayne and Grandpa Darryl, they sent him this very cool sleeping bag with a blow up mattress he loves it. It was the first thing he opened and it had to be all set up and played with for 20 minutes before we could open anything else.

He got a great hockey shirt from Marianna, this he immediately put on. He also got an I-Dog robot that listens to music with him, and a set of legos that builds animals. Layne got him a Spiderman action figure that he has spent a lot of time playing with as well.

We had a great day, I can't believe he is 5! Happy Birthday Sebastian.

Wow, 5 already. It seems like just yesterday you were hiding the fact that you were pregnant from us! :)
Don't feel bad, when my mom turned 23 I asked her if that was the end of the numbers.

I'm glad he liked the gift. I thought he could use it camping next summer or when you had house guests.
